NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM APPOINTED AT SPRINGHILL SUITES WATERFORD

WATERFORD, CT (November 18, 2005) – A new management team is on board at SpringHill Suites in Waterford, CT. Melissa Schlauder, general manager, and Eileen Wert, director of sales, have been appointed to oversee the operational and marketing aspects of the facility. SpringHill Suites by Marriott Waterford is professionally managed by Waterford Hotel Group, Inc., a national hotel management firm currently operating 30 hotels in 10 states.

Schlauder joined Waterford Hotel Group in 1999, and most recently served as regional human resources manager at the company’s corporate office in Waterford, CT. Prior to her human resources assignment, Schlauder participated in the Waterford Hotel Group management training program, where she held various positions such as interim general manager for SpringHill Suites Waterford, CT and front office manager at the Comfort Inn Mystic, CT.

Eileen Wert joins SpringHill Suites from Comfort Inn and Days Inn Mystic, CT, where she served as sales manager since 2004. Her previous positions include executive meeting manager at the Radisson Hotel in New London, CT. Wert is currently a member of the Eastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce - Women’s Business Networking Committee.
