COMFORT INN MYSTIC RECEIVES 3rd CONSECUTIVE
2006 PLATINUM HOSPITALITY AWARD

CT Hotel Wins Top National Honor From Choice Hotels International

Mystic, CT (November 16, 2006) – For the 3rd year in a row, the Comfort Inn hotel in Mystic, CT, has received a Platinum Hospitality Award from Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE:CHH), one of the world’s largest lodging franchisors. Only five percent of properties in the Choice Hotels system were awarded the exclusive Choice Platinum Award this year. The Comfort Inn Mystic is professionally managed by Waterford Hotel Group, a national hotel management firm currently operating 26 properties in 8 states.

"The Comfort Inn Mystic should be very proud to have reached this distinguished milestone,” said Chuck Ledsinger, Choice President and Chief Executive Officer. “Their attention and dedication to providing the highest level of guest service is the very reason they are now being recognized as a distinguished and very special member of the Choice Hotels family.”

This year, all Choice Hotels properties were judged based on a customer focused awards process that measured the hotel’s ability to meet guest needs. The Comfort Inn Mystic earned this prestigious award because it was among the top hotels in the Choice family of brands. The hotel met several key thresholds important to achieving guest satisfaction, including high marks for cleanliness and property maintenance, and a low ratio of guest complaints. The hotel’s guest surveys also revealed that they were much more likely to recommend this hotel to friends and family following their stay because of the great experience they had.

“Consistency in exceptional guest service and beautiful accommodations has bought the Comfort Inn Mystic to this level. It is a fantastic accomplishment to earn this recognition for three years running - the associates of the hotel have worked very hard and they should be proud of their success,” commented Terry Bickhardt, President and COO, Operations and Marketing, for Waterford Hotel Group, Inc.
