Gina Kunst Appointed as Director of Sales
For Holiday Inn New London

NEW LONDON, CT (October 3, 2006) – Gina M. Kunst has been named Director of Sales of the Holiday Inn located in New London, CT. The 136-room Holiday Inn is professionally managed by Waterford Hotel Group, a national hotel management firm currently operating 26 properties in 8 states.

As director of sales, Kunst will be responsible for the total sales effort of the hotel, including developing and maintaining new accounts, supervising sales related personnel, and implementing sales and marketing strategies so as to maximize profits of the hotel while maintaining guest satisfaction. Kunst has more than 10 years of experience in the hospitality field, and has worked at the Hartford Marriott Farmington in several capacities over the years, including Sales Manager, Catering Sales Manager, Convention Services Manager, and Executive Meeting Manager. She has also served as Area Account Executive and Task Force Sales Manager for Marriott properties in North Carolina. She joins Waterford from Benchmark Senior Living, where she was Director of Community Relations.

Kunst is a native of Avon, CT, and currently resides in Colchester. She attended the University of Connecticut, where she earned a Bachelors degree in communications in 1990.
