Residence Inn by Marriott Receives Seven Awards Including Diamond General
Manager of the Year
SOUTHINGTON, CT (March 26, 2008) –
The Residence Inn by Marriott in Southington, CT
received seven awards at the recent 2008 Residence Inn by
Marriott General Managers Conference held in Anaheim, CA. For the second
year in a row, the hotel was honored with the elite Platinum Hotel Award, as
well as Diamond General Manager of the Year for GM Carol Secondino.
Waterford Hotel Group, Inc. professionally manages the 94-suite Residence
Inn by Marriott located at 778 West Street, Southington.
The Residence Inn Southington was one of only twelve Marriott Residence Inns
in North America to receive the Platinum Award, given to those hotels who
achieve exceptional guest satisfaction scores. Secondino was one of five
general managers to receive the Diamond General Manager of the Year Award.
Additionally, the Southington Residence Inn received the following awards:
Highest Guest Satisfaction for Arrival Experience, Elite Recognition,
Cleanliness, and Overall Service, and Lowest Problem Incidence.

representatives, joined the Southington Residence Inn staff for a
celebratory luncheon recently. “The attention and dedication to providing
the highest level of guest service has continued to earn this hotel the
highest accolades,” Wolman commented to the Southington team. “It is a
fantastic accomplishment to be recognized by Marriott International in this
way – you have worked very hard and should be proud of your success.” Wolman
added. During the celebration, Wolman presented the Southington hotel
associates certificates in honor of their award winning accomplishments.
