HARTFORD'S RESIDENCE INN BY MARRIOTT
OPENS 20 ADDITIONAL SUITES
Hartford,
Connecticut - (November 6, 2001) - The Residence Inn by Marriott in
downtown Hartford has added 20 additional suites. Richardson Redo, LLC
owns the facility, which opened with 100 suites in June of 2000. The
ownership entity includes Hartford developers Phil Schonberger, Marc
Levine and Sam Fingold; Waterford-based developers Len Wolman and Mark
Wolman; and, Del Lauria, Stephan Slavik and Richard Slavik, all of Farmington
Hills, MI. The hotel is operated by Waterford Hotel Group, a national
hotel management company with contracts to operate 27 hotels in 10 states.
The downtown Hartford Residence
Inn, which is the only Marriott product in the city, has been ranked
in the top 50 of all Residence Inns based on guest satisfaction scores.
Additionally, the hotel has received the second highest Quality Performance
Review in Marriott's history, scoring 97%.
The 120-suite hotel features one and two bedroom
suites, 50% larger than ordinary hotel rooms, with fully equipped kitchens,
living rooms and dining areas. Each suite contains a refrigerator, dishwasher,
oven/stove, garbage disposal, microwave, coffee maker, two line phones
with data port and voicemail, iron and ironing board, two televisions
with expanded cable and HBO, in-room movies with a Sony Playstation,
and a daily complimentary newspaper. Additional hotel amenities include
meeting facilities, complimentary breakfast buffet, weeknight social
hours, an exercise facility, complimentary grocery shopping services,
same day dry cleaning, and coin-operated laundry facilities.

in Waterford, CT, served as Construction Manager for the initial rehabilitation
project, as well as the recent expansion project. The landmark building
is prominently located at 942 Main Street in Hartford. The historic
